Flint Township resident shot, killed inside home


FLINT TWP. — A 29-year-old Flint Township man was shot and killed inside his home during the early morning hours of June 12 on the township’s east side.

At around 12:40 a.m., Flint Township police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Walton Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old man who was shot while inside his residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said that they are looking for an individual wearing dark clothing and a mask, who allegedly entered the home and fired several rounds, striking the victim.

Flint Township police were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police-Bridgeport Crime. Investigators have not yet released any further details about the shooting.
