GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Grand Blanc Township Crash Investigation Team (CIRT) was investigating a crash that left a 26-year-old Flint Township man fighting for his life early Saturday.
Police did not release the name of the man who suffered life-threatening injuries when his 2005 Chevrolet pickup crashed on northbound Interstate 75.
The wreck occurred around 12:10 a.m. as the man attempted to exit the highway at Holly Road, according to Sgt. Scott Theede.
Theede said the truck went off the roadway and rolled several times, ejecting the driver.
The driver told officers on scene that there was a female passenger in the truck, but police searched on foot, utilized a thermal-imaging camera, a K-9 and a drone, and found no other victims, the sergeant said.
State police and Genesee County sheriff’s deputies assisted on scene.
Additional details were not immediately available.
