— Volunteers, Little Brothers and Little Sisters, their families and community youth groups will join together to support and raise funds for the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters “Kids Bowl-A-Mania,” sponsored by FM Financial Credit Union, Nov. 6 at Galaxy Bowling Center, 2226 E. Hill Rd.
Participants will bowl one game for one hour between noon and 5 p.m. The youth bowlers also will enjoy refreshments and earn prizes for bringing in various levels of tax deductible pledge donations. The fundraiser provides financial support to help Big Brothers Big Sisters match children with mentors. The organization’s mentoring services and activities are offered at no cost to Genesee County youth enrolled in the organization.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud of the dedication of the children to raise money for a program they benefit from and which benefits other Genesee County youth. The event also kicks off the agency’s largest fundraiser, the Bowling Challenge, which takes place Feb. 17-20, 2011. More community youth groups are encouraged to participate. The focus of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint is to provide children, primarily from single parent homes, with the friendship of a positive role model. For 66 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been impacting thousands of children in Genesee County through its mentoring outreach and support.
