FLINT — The Foundation for Mott Community College (FMCC) has acquired a 9,000-square-foot commercial building derived from a donation, which in turn was recently purchased by Treasure Enterprise, LLC under the auspices of Rev. Larry Holley, Pastor of Abundant Life Community Church of Flint.
The building, which is in excellent condition, resulted in a six-figure gift. “The Foundation exists to acquire and distribute resources to Mott Community College and it is in this spirit that we are carrying out this mission,” said Lennetta Coney, FMCC President. “We are so pleased to have received such an attractive gift. This property offers a world of exciting opportunities for decades to come.” This donation was made by the Pike Family in memory of Leo and Betty Fawcett. Leo and Betty Fawcett owned many businesses for decades in the Flint area and were lifelong residents of Flint. The Pikes expressed great excitement and optimism with this donation saying, “Leo and Betty Fawcett would appreciate leaving behind a donation like this because of the potential to change so many lives for the better. It is our hope that others will be inspired to donate and help The Foundation for Mott Community College to build a brighter future for us all.” The building, located at 3166 Comer Street in Genesee Township, provides an optimal space for future use by a community organization. The property houses a full commercial kitchen and is fully furnished in turn-key condition. Holley, recognized around the country for his successful business development activities and community ventures in the Flint area, has made headlines for revitalizing the community and helping many people out of debt.
