Carman-Ainsworth came back from a 21-point deficit in the second half to force overtime, but lost in the extra session when its attempt at a two-point conversion was stopped.

Tyler Minor had a hand in all four scores, starting with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Logan Banister to get the Cavaliers on the board midway through the third quarter. He caught a 53-yard scoring pass from Billy Hickey three minutes into the fourth, then broke loose on a 54-yard touchdown run to tie the game 21-21 with 5:44 left.

After Mount Pleasant scored first in overtime and kicked the extra point, Minor scored on a 1-yard run, but the run attempt for a 2-point conversion fell short.

The loss was only the third for Carman-Ainsworth in its last 15 games.
