Foundation for MCC hosts Black & Gold Affair

FLINT — It will be an affair to remember when the Mott Community College Alumni Association and the Foundation for Mott Community College (FMCC) host the “Black & Gold Affair” to support programs and scholarships at Mott Community College (MCC).

The black tie Vegas-style event will be April 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Event Center on the main campus in Flint. Attendees can dance to the music of the MCC Jazz Band and a DJ, try their luck at Las Vegas-style games, and enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. Team One Credit Union is the title sponsor of the event.

“This is an opportunity for our alumni and friends to have some fun and show their support for our students,” said Lennetta Coney, President of the Foundation for Mott Community College. “We want everyone to show off their Black & Gold finest for our first-ever black tie event,” she added.

“I encourage all MCC alumni to join us for the Black & Gold Affair as an opportunity to reconnect with old classmates and make new connections with other alumni of this outstanding institution,” said Alumni Association President, John K. Krupp, CPA.

To RSVP, purchase tickets or become a sponsor, visit or call 810-762-0425. Proceeds will provide funding for scholarship programs at MCC that keep tuition affordable in Flint and Genesee County. The Foundation has more than 200 endowments, scholarships and funds to help keep tuition affordable for students, enabling them to achieve their academic and career goals. — G.G.
