Fred Couples to play in The Ally Challenge

GRAND BLANC – Tournament officials announced Friday that World Golf Hall of Fame member and fan favorite Fred Couples has committed to play in the inaugural The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren, scheduled for September 13 – 16 at historic Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Mich.

Couples, 58, is the owner of 15 PGA TOUR victories, including the 1992 Masters Tournament and 1994 Buick Open. The California resident counts the 2011 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship and the 2012 Senior Open Championship among his 13 PGA TOUR Champions titles.

The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren, September 13-16, will be one of the premier Regular Season events on PGA TOUR Champions in 2018, which will give way to the third-annual Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs – a season-ending, three tournament series used to determine the Tour’s season-long champion.

All three rounds of The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren will be broadcast on Golf Channel.
