Frontline worker appreciation meals provided by local organizations

GEENSEE COUNTY — Saginaw Valley Consistory No. 71 and Light of Hope Assembly No. 64 Order of the Golden Circle, an Auxiliary to the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Flint, provided meals to frontline healthcare workers at Hurley Medical Center Flint, Covenant Hospital Saginaw and St. Joe Hospital Pontiac.

The Scottish Rite family would like to send their appreciation and gratitude to Hurley Medical Center. During these unprecedented times it is important to remember frontline healthcare workers who are risking their lives daily to care for our community.

The meals were provided May 14 for doctors, nurses and janitorial workers providing care to COVID – 19 patients.

The Frontline Worker Appreciation was initiated by the Commander in Chief Eddie Jones of Saginaw Valley No. 71, Loyal Lady Ruler Michelle D. Hill of Light of Hope Assembly No. 64 Order of the Golden Circle, and Sovereign Grand Inspector General Robert J. Meekins. The initiative was coordinated by County commissioner, Grand Inspector General Bryant Nolden and the food was provided by Roma’s Pizzeria. — G.G.
