FSPA students showcased in concert

FLINT
— Through a new initiative with the Concerned Pastors for Social Action, the Flint School of Performing Arts (FSPA) seeks to share information about educational opportunities with families from local churches and faith-based organizations. The talents of several FSPA students will be showcased at a Spotlight Concert 5 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Flint Institute of Music’s Anderson Room.

Families are invited to attend the Spotlight Concert featuring performances by a variety of young musicians and short presentations by an FSPA board member and FSPA parent. At 6 p.m., they will have the opportunity to try out musical instruments, sing and dance during the FSPA Open House.

Instructors and staff will be on hand to answer questions about programs and scholarships. For more information, call the FSPA office at 810-238-1350, ext. 3. — Natalie
