GRAND BLANC — This past weekend, the Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce hosted the 13th annual Family Fun Fest at Grand Blanc High School.

The Family Fun Fest enjoyed record breaking attendance as thousands gathered for the biggest Grand Blanc community gathering in more than a year.

The Family Fun Fest was canceled in 2020 due to COVID- 19, and wasn’t even a sure thing for 2021 until about eight weeks ago.

Working with the City of Grand Blanc, and after consulting with and getting approval from the Genesee County Health Department, the Grand Blanc chamber was committed to bringing back a tradition that marked the start of summer for so many in the community.

“We would like to thank the countless volunteers, the Grand Blanc city and township police departments, Grand Blanc Community Schools, Arnold Amusements, all of the sponsors, and most of all, everyone who attended,” said chamber President Leigh LaForest. “With the record numbers, beautiful weather, lots and lots of smiling faces, we are looking forward to an even bigger and better experience for next year.”

Dates for 2022 will be announced soon. — L.R.
