GBCS employees getting pieces of the PIE for their schools

GRAND BLANC — Grand Blanc Community Schools staff are participating in the “Partners in Education” (PIE) program with Horace Mann – Maksymowski Insurance.

The company has pledged a $25 donation for each employee who requests a quote for one of their products. The agency kicked off the PIE program by delivering actual pies, made by the popular and local Crust bakery, to the buildings.

Dates for qualifying submissions are chosen by the building leader. So far, Grand Blanc school employees have already earned more than $2,000 from this unique fundraising opportunity. “Big” checks already have been delivered to Anderson, McGrath, Reid and West Middle schools.

Maksymowski Insurance knows this has been a tough year for schools. Budgets are always tight and allow for very little discretionary spending.

This program is giving building leaders the opportunity to support their students and/or staff in a new and exciting way of their choosing.

It also gives Maksymowski and Horace Mann, a company founded by educators for educators, the opportunity to save school employees money on insurance, retirement, and other products. Employees who voluntarily participate are under no obligation to purchase anything.
