On Saturday the day started with the 200 Medley Relay and the GB relay team of Lucia Grasso (Fr.), Sarah Hartwell (Jr.), Allyson Quitos (So.), and Sophie Curtis (Jr.). The relay team swam hard, posted some great performances and had a podium qualifying time, but suffered a disqualification on a relay exchange.

The next Grand Blanc race was Sophie Curtis in the 100 Freestyle who hit the water strong and improved her time by a quarter of a second to take 3rd place and earn All-State honors with a time of 51.66.

Curtis was joined by 200 Free Relay team members Lexi Roth (Jr.), Estella Grasso (So.), and Quitos. Each relay team member posted great splits, including Roth who lead off with a best time of 25.76. The team just narrowly missed the podium by three hundredths clocking 1:40.87 and taking 17th place.

In the next event, the 100 Backstroke, Curtis and freshman Lucia Grasso competed in the same heat to finish out the Bobcats’ day. Both girls had outstanding performances.
