FLINT — The Genesee District Library (GDL) reopened to the public on Feb. 1, with limited occupancy.
All 19 branches are now open during regular hours of operation with occupancy at 25 percent capacity. Masks are required, and high touch surfaces will be sanitized hourly. Computer use is limited to one hour, and in an effort to serve as many people as possible, patrons are urged to keep their visits brief.
For those who prefer to access the library from the comfort of their home, digital library services are plentiful, free and available 24/7 at thegdl.org.
Library users can check out books, videos, television, music, comics and magazines. Those who need a library card can sign up online at www.thegdl.org/get-a-library-card/.
GDL offers a wide variety of virtual programming, including story times, play groups, escape rooms, trivia, magic, and more. Visit www.thegdl.org/ events/ for a complete list.
