AUBURN HILLS — In September, Genisys Credit Union employees went casual for kids on the annual Miracle Jeans Day to raise $1,100 for Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak, a local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN Hospitals).

“At Genisys, we work hard to live out our values – ‘We Improve our Community’, “ said Jackie Buchanan, President & CEO of Genisys Credit Union. “We admire the courage and strength of our youngest community members and are proud to be able to give back to our local CMN hospital.”

This annual, one-day event, organized through Credit Union for Kids (CU4Kids), lets credit union employees around the country wear jeans for a day for a $5 donation. All proceeds go towards a local CMN Hospital, whose mission is to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible by raising funds to cover the cost of care that is not covered by Medicaid and insurance programs.

“Through CMN’s CU4Kids partnership, Genisys Credit Union has helped raise funds for essential equipment and programs needed for some of Beaumont Children’s youngest patients,” said Sara Klakulak, Manager Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – Beaumont Health. “Going ‘casual for kids’ during Miracle Jeans Day is just one way they provide their employees with another fun and easy way to help local kids feel better. We are so grateful for their continued support.”
