FLINT TWP. — Since opening its doors in 1983, Gloria’s, Ltd., has provided customers in Genesee County and beyond with a wide selection of unique, one-of-a-kind items.

Owner Gloria Van Duyne first opened the store in a little room in a house below the Chestnut Tree in Grand Blanc and since, the business has operated in subsequent locations in Grand Blanc and the Flint area. Now, Gloria’s, Ltd., calls a space at the Genesee Valley Center, between Macy’s and Barnes & Noble, its home and continues to offer its signature line of fine stationery, gifts and boutique items.

“We love our new space,” Van Duyne said. “We have our own parking and we do not keep mall hours.”

Gloria’s, Ltd., offers a variety of merchandise, including Brighton, TrollBeads, Woof ‘n Poof, Bethany Lowe collectibles and MacKenzie- Childs.

“We were one of the first stores in the country to have MacKenzie-Childs, even before Neiman Marcus,” Van Duyne said. “It attracts people from a large area.”

Since moving the store to its new location approximately one year ago, Van Duyne has seen the traffic increased at the new location.
