Lapeer American Legion Post 16 will hold its eighth annual Keeping It Alive (Drive to Survive) SAL Golf Outing on Aug. 22 at ROLLING HILLS GOLF CLUB. The four-person scramble will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $60 per person or $240 per team and includes $340 cash for first place, $240 for second place and $100 for third. Prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive for both men and women. Coffee and doughnuts in the morning, hot dogs at the turn and dinner afterwards at the Legion Post where door prizes will be given away. The Lapeer East High School Class of 1985 will hold a golf outing as part of its 30-year reunion on Aug. 22 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB.
