The Goodland Township Library is hosting a golf outing fund-raiser on Saturday, Sept. 26 at CASTLE CREEK GOLF COURSE to help the library with programs for the public as well as material purchases. Dinner will be provided by the Smokehouse in Almont. The golf outing begins at 9 a.m., and the dinner is at 2 p.m. Golf and dinner is $55 per person, golf only is $35 and dinner only is $12. The Birdies for Turkeys Golf Outing, sponsored by Living & Giving Together, will be held Oct. 3 at IMA BROOKWOOD GOLF CLUB. The four-person scramble will start at 10 a.m. and is limited to 18 teams. The entry fee of $75 per person is due by Sept. 25 and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, continental breakfast and lunch at the grill. A prize raffle, Happy Gilmore Hole, $10 skins and $10 mulligans are available. All profits to feed local families at Thanksgiving. There will be a $10,000 cash hole-in-one prize and other par-3 prizes.
