Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. If your group or club is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for a charitable or community cause, e-mail your outing information to: dnilsen@mihomepaper.com. SATURDAY, MAY 2

The Lapeer High School Football Golf Outing will be held May 2 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $90 per person or $360 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and skins. Prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin for men and women. No current students please. Please confirm your spot by April 25. First 36 paid-in-full teams. The Lapeer Optimist 40th Annual Douglas Henley Memorial Outing will be held at 9 a.m. May 9 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Entry fee of $85 includes golf, lunch and dinner. Special events include closest to pin, longest drive and hole-in-one contest. Contact Mike Butterfield at 810-245-5790.

SATURDAY, MAY 9

The North Branch Booster Club Golf Scramble will be held May 9 at WASHAKIE GOLF COURSE. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee $60 per player or $240 per team. Hot dogs/brats at the turn. Drinks also. Long drive and closest to the pin contests. First place $240, second place $120, third place $100. Limited to 18 teams. This scramble to benefit boys’ golf and boys’ football. Adopt-A-Pet will host their 10th annual golf outing at THE JEWEL OF GRAND BLANC on May 16. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $85 per person and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf with cart, a beer at the turn, and dinner. MONDAY, MAY 18

The RE/MAX Select CMN Golf Outing will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 18 at OAKHURST GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB in Clarkston. The $150 entry fee includes breakfast, mimosa bar, lunch, cart, greens fees, awards, longest drive and closest to pin. There will be a silent auction, Vegas hole, dinner, raffles and more. SATURDAY, MAY 30

The Genesee Athletic Boosters will hold their annual golf outing on Saturday, May 30, at SUGARBUSH GOLF CLUB in Davison. Shotgun start at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $75 per golfer and includes 18 holes with cart, hot dog, chips and drink at the turn and entry into contest holes (longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one). A dinner will follow in the clubhouse. A skins game and closest to the pin on the second shot will also be available. Please reserve your spot by May 15. After May 15, the entry fee increases to $85. The Lapeer Optimist Junior Golf Qualifier will be held at 1:30 p.m. May 31 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. The $50 entry fee includes the 18-hole local qualifier and lunch. The Swartz Creek Athletic Boosters will hold their annual golf outing on Sunday, May 31,witha9a.m.shotgunstartatGENESEE VALLEY MEADOWS. Cost is $60 per person and includes 18 holes with cart, hot dog, chips, pop or water at the turn, and light hors d’oeuvres after. Door prizes, longest drive, Vegas hole and more.
