Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. Registration is underway for the 2016 JDRF Charity Golf Outing, sponsored by Ford Romeo Engine on Sept. 24 at PINE VALLEY GOLF COURSE, located at 16801 31 Mile Rd. in Ray, MI, 48096. Golf for four players will include a cart, starter gift package, a putting contest, raffles, a dinner, two drink tickets and a hot dog at the turn. The Birdies for Turkeys golf outing will be held at BROOKWOOD GOLF CLUB, 6045 Davison Road in Burton, on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. The four-person scramble is $75 per golfer and the cost includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a continental breakfast, lunch at the grill and the competition also includes $10 skins, $10 mulligans and a prize raffle. Checks should be made payable to “Living & Giving Together” and payment is due by Sept. 18. The Davison Vipers baseball program will be holding a golf scramble at COPPER RIDGE GOLF COURSe in Davison, 8475 E Atherton Rd. on Saturday, Oct. 1. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee off. The cost is $60 for 18 holes and will also include skins games, mulligans for sale and longest drive competitions, as well as closest to pin and putting challenge. Lunch will be at the turn and a Mexican dinner will follow. There will be prizes and a 50-50 raffle. A $25 deposit is due by Sept. 25. The Ninth Annual City of Grand Blanc Police Association Golf Outing will be held Oct. 10 at WARWICK HILLS. Shotgun start at noon. Prizes for first, second and third place in men’s, women’s and mixed divisions, along with long drive and closest to the pin for men and women and holein one on all par-3’s. There will be door prizes, raffle prizes and 50/50. The scramble format for four-player teams costs $125 per person and includes golf with cart, hot dog at the hole-in-one car hole, dinner after golf and door prizes.
