The Hometown Heroes outing will be held June 29 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. The $100 entry fee includes golf, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prizes for closest to pin, longest drive and a putting competition. Contact Jonathan Lemaire at 248-760-5936.

MONDAY, JUNE 29

The Danny Thomas St. Jude Celebrity Golf Invitational sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held June 29 at LAKELANDS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB in Brighton. The day begins with registration and lunch at 10 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon. A cocktail reception and awards dinner will follow at 6 p.m., with both live and silent auctions. All sponsor foursomes will be paired with a celebrity, including Mickey Stanley, Gary Moeller and Luther Bradley. Cost is $500 per golfer or $2,000 for a foursome. TUESDAY, JUNE 30

The University of Michigan Club of Greater Flint Golf Outing and Sport Night will be held June 30 at ATLAS VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at noon, but tee times can be made from 7-7:30 a.m. for those who want to golf in the morning. Registration and lunch will be from 11 a.m.-noon. A social hour starts at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. and the program to follow. Cost is $125 for golf with cart and dinner, $80 for golf with cart only, and $45 for dinner only. SATURDAY, JULY 11

The University of Michigan-Flint Kodiak Golf Outing, to benefit school’s football club, will be held July 11 at THE JEWEL OF GRAND BLANC. The scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $75 per player or $300 per team and includes a pizza buffet. The Greater Flint Sunrise Rotary will be hosting their 23rd annual golf scramble on July 17 at SUGARBUSH GOLF CLUB in Davison, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Corporate sponsorship with a team entry is $675 or an individual player fee is $125. Participants receive a goodie bag, green fees, cart, continental breakfast, lunch on the course, post-round hors d’oeuvres, door prizes for everyone and special tournament gifts. There will also be a silent auction, raffle and cash bar. Entry deadline is July 1. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint will be hosting their 13th annual Drive to Make a Difference Golf Outing on July 20 at THE FORTRESS in Frankenmuth, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee for the four-person scramble is $540 per team or $135 per individual and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, goodie bag, free driving range, lunch, grilled dinner and special awards for winning teams. The Ninth Annual Colin’s Angels Golf Outing benefit to end viral myocarditis will be held July 20 at the FLINT ELKS CLUB. Registration and driving range open at 11 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Dinner, prizes and award after golf. All proceeds benefit the Colin J. Dembo Memorial Foundation in living memory of Colin Dembo, who died Oct. 25, 2005 at age 5.Cost is $100 per player or $400 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, driving range balls, lunch and dinner, prizes and contests.
