Golf Outings

Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. If your group or club is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for a charitable or community cause, email your outing information to: Submissions subject to publisher’s discretion and space available.


The Lapeer High School Football Golf Outing will be held May 2 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $90 per person or $360 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and skins. Prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin for men and women. No current students please. Please confirm your spot by April 25. First 36 paid-in-full teams. The North Branch Booster Club Golf Scramble will be held May 9 at WASHAKIE GOLF COURSE. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee $60 per player or $240 per team. Hot dogs/brats at the turn. Drinks also. Long drive and closest to the pin contests. First place $240, second place $120, third place $100. Limited to 18 teams. This scramble to benefit boys golf and boys football. Adopt-A-Pet will host their 10th annual golf outing at THE JEWEL OF GRAND BLANC on May 16. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $85 per person and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf with cart, a beer at the turn, and dinner. The Genesee Athletic Boosters will hold their annual golf outing on Saturday, May 30, at SUGARBUSH GOLF CLUB in Davison. Shotgun start at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $75 per golfer and includes 18 holes with cart, hot dog, chips and drink at the turn and entry into contest holes (longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one). A dinner will follow in the clubhouse. A skins game and closest to the pin on the second shot will also be available. Please reserve your spot by May 15. After May 15, the entry fee increases to $85. The fourth annual Daley Acres Agricultural Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 5 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Registration for the 4-man scramble begins at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $150 per individual or $600 for a foursome, which includes lunch and a banquet dinner. The Marine Corps League, Flint Detachment Golf Outing will be held on June 20 at IMA BROOKWOOD GOLF COURSE. Registration 8 a.m., shotgun start 9 a.m. Entry $65 per person or $260 per team. Includes 18 holes with cart, hot dogs, burgers, brats, chips and a drink at the turn. Steak dinner at end. $200 prizes for first place men’s, women’s and senior (65+) teams, longest drive and closest to the pin. Hole-in-one on designated hole wins a new furnace by Holland Heating.
