Grand Blanc Rehabilitation and Nursing Center



Grand Blanc Rehab and Nursing Center is located on the corner of Belsay Rd. and Perry Rd. in Grand Blanc. We were formerly known as Riverbend Post Acute Rehab Center.

Four years ago we were purchased by Care One. A New Jersey based Senior Care Corporation with a reputation for providing the highest level of rehabilitation and nursing care.

We provide Occupational/Physical/ Speech therapy 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All of the therapists are our staff therapists providing consistent therapy to maximize our resident’s potential for a full recovery. We have a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician, Dr. Neil Alpiner. Dr. Alpiner has been the Director of Rehab at Hurley Hospital and is currently the Director of Rehab for Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan. Dr Alpiner has a private practice in Davison, Michigan

Our nursing team includes a wound care team. We provide the most intensive wound care using the most effective treatment available. Our unit managers are Registered Nurses. We have an afternoon supervisor as well as a weekend supervisor, Registered Nurses as well.

We also have a 54 bed Medical Specialty Unit. This area holds our State Certified Ventilator Unit. Dr. Suresh Gupta, our Medical Director for over 25 years, leads the care on this unit. The Board Certified physicians at Genesee Lung Associates also care for our vent residents on a biweekly basis. We have a fully staffed Respiratory Care Department 24/7, with licensed Respiratory Therapists. Our Vent Unit has in wall Oxygen and suction capabilities. We have new state of art equipment, providing our residents with very best in respiratory care.

Our residents also enjoy a very active Recreational department. Activities take place morning, afternoon, and evening 7 days a week 365 days a year. They enjoy live music several times a week with different musicians, bowling, dollar store shopping on site, and barbeques in our pavilion, out trips, spiritual support of many dominations several times during the week, book fairs, and much more.
