Karsen and Kennedy, who were representing the First Tee Program of Eastern Michigan, have been taking golf lessons for three years. Both siblings said that they love the sport and that they plan to continue working on their golf games—with hopes of playing competitively in the future.

Grand Blanc natives Karsen and Kennedy Burks took part in opening ceremonies of The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren on Aug. 27 and had the honor of teeing off on the 1st hole. Karsen, 8, was up first and hit a strong shot down the fairway. Next up was his sister, 10-year-old Kennedy, who displayed an impressive swing of her own. The duo’s parents, Tony and Kristin Burks, watched proudly from the sidelines along with baby brother Khristian.
