Grand Blanc woman killed in carjacking

Flint Township Police have five in custody


FLINT TWP. — The Flint Township Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at 4107 Corunna Rd., the One Stop Mobil Gas Station, on March 4.   
The incident started at 9:05 p.m. when suspects allegedly attempted to carjack the victim while she was parked at the gas pumps.  
During the carjacking the victim — Leslie Marie Mills, 55, of Grand Blanc — was shot. Mills died a short time later at Hurley Medical Center.   
The victim’s car was stolen and recovered a short distance away. Investigators have arrested five people related to this incident.
The Michigan State Police Crime Lab is assisting with the investigation. The Genesee County Prosecutors Office will be reviewing the case and the involvement of the persons arrested.
