GRAND BLANC TWP. — Sonitrol Tri-County, the Flint area’s largest locally owned and operated security firm, is helping to get criminals off the street, thanks to its verified security system.
Over the last several months, police in Genesee County have arrested and have taken into custody six persons who were engaged in criminal activity at two Flintarea schools, which are protected with Sonitrol’s verified audio systems.
Two men were arrested during an August break-in at Flint’s Southwestern Academy, and another four individuals were apprehended during a break-in Nov. 9 at Paro Educational Center in the Kearsley Community Schools System.
These local cases are a sampling of 170,000 Sonitrol-related apprehensions nationwide since 1977, when the company began documenting apprehension statistics. Sonitrol’s unprecedented record of success in assisting law enforcement in the apprehension of intruders is attributed to the nearly 50 years of dedication and advancement of the company’s unique, impact-activated, audio intrusion detection technology.
The 170,000 documented apprehensions over the last 36 years – or approximately one apprehension every 111 minutes – is a result of a mutually beneficial relationship between local law enforcement agencies around the country and Sonitrol’s professionally trained operators.
As a growing number of municipalities across the country pass verified response regulations requiring verification that an intrusion is actually taking place before law enforcement dispatch personnel to the site, the reliability of Sonitrol’s audio intrusion system offers a key advantage over competing traditional intrusion systems. Sonitrol’s ability to verify an intrusion in real time offers unrivaled credibility with local law enforcement.
“Sonitrol is extremely proud of its track record, and we think the apprehension statistics speak for themselves,” said Sonitrol Tri-County President Mike Wanstreet.
Since 1977, Sonitrol’s verified audio technology has assisted law enforcement in over 170,000 apprehensions. Sonitrol Tri-County’s regional headquarters and state-of-the-art monitoring center are located in Grand Blanc, Mich. For more information, go to www.sonitrolmichigan.com. – P.S.
