FLINT TWP. — Health Alliance Plan invites Flint-area residents to the HAP Health & Fun Fair on Aug. 3 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 2050 S. Linden Road, at the southwest corner of Linden and Corunna roads.
More than 40 mid- Michigan community partners will be on site to share information about available resources for kids, families and seniors. No RSVP is required, and all attendees will have access to:
Free lunch (hot dog, chips, water, ice cream bar)
Free immunizations from the Genesee County Health Department (bring insurance card)
Free MIChild ID Cards from the Michigan Masons
Free haircuts for the first 50 people over age 5
Entertainment, including a DJ, dance groups and a mariachi band
Fun games and activities, including petting zoo, basketball, cornhole, coloring, water balloon toss, a photo booth and more
The first 500 children who complete a “passport” by visiting the vendors or participating in the activity stations will receive a HAP backpack filled with school supplies and will have the chance to win one of four bikes
New for 2019: “Senior City” tent with health screenings, chair aerobics, chair yoga, healthy food demos and a barbershop quartet. — G.G.
