FLINT TWP. — A proposed hotel and convention center is part of plans for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to be presented to the township Planning Commission at a public hearing, at 6:30 p.m., Thursday November 19.
The PUD is proposed as a redevelopment of Pirates Park, 4175 Miller Road, a long-time recreational facility that has been for sale a few years.
Storage units also are part of the proposed multiple use plan, said Tracey Tucker, township building director.
The 38.7 acre property includes a 24-acre developed parcel with a 5.5 acre pond and 14.7 acres of vacant land parallel to the I-69 freeway, according to a commercial property listing for the site.
Tucker said that plans for the proposed development will be presented at the public hearing which all interested parties are welcome to attend.
