FLINT TWP. — Your Hearing Solution, formerly known as Fluke Hearing, recently celebrated its grand opening, after Owner Steve Sluka purchased the business and its four office locations, including the company’s headquarters, located within the Genesee Valley Center shopping mall. Sluka and the team at Your Hearing Solution are committed to “helping people lead fuller lives through better hearing.”
The practice, which officially opened July 1, offers a complete range of services for all adults, from hearing loss prevention to evaluating a hearing impairment, all while utilizing and offering the latest in digital hearing instrument technology. Sluka and his staff provide patients with compassionate, personalized treatments and solutions to best serve families and individuals in their hearing healthcare needs.
“I worked for Fluke Hearing for almost five years and was able to buy the Genesee Valley location and three others,” said Sluka, who is a hearing instrument specialist. “(Administrator) Dana Corning, who worked with Fluke for about 10 years, was part of the condition of my buying the business – she had to come along. She’s just phenomenal. She does everything but fit the hearing aids.
“We work with a number of different third parties and insurances,” continued Sluka. “And we do screenings, we fit your hearing aids, we adjust and clean them, we do whatever we need to do in order to help somebody as far as their hearing is concerned.”
As a hearing professional, Sluka is dedicated to fully understanding all aspects of both hearing loss and hearing instrument technology. He says that he and his staff are more than happy to help those who already have hearing aids, addressing any issues you may have, as well as offering tune-ups and cleanings at no charge during your scheduled visit.
“There’s never an obligation to buy, but if we find that you could benefit from a hearing instrument, we are currently offering special pricing,” said Sluka. “We also have financing options and a limited number of reconditioned hearing aids. My goal is to make hearing aids accessible for everyone. One thing we do differently is offer trade-in value on some older hearing aid styles. Most people think their hearing aid doesn’t have any value, but what I do with them is recondition them and help those who are unable to afford a brand-new one – either because they don’t have insurance or don’t have the money – whatever the case may be. We want to do everything we can to help people that wouldn’t otherwise get hearing help.”
Your Hearing Solution is currently offering complimentary appointments, and Sluka says he anticipates that appointment times will book up quickly, so call as soon as possible to lock in an appointment time. For more information, call 810-733-5300 or visit their website at www.hearingsolution.com.
