An enthusiastic crowd celebrated the Swartz Creek High School Class of 2021 in what has become a new tradition in Dragon Country – the Senior Clap-Out. On Friday, May 14, the graduates were chauffeured through the campuses of Swartz Creek High School and Middle School for one final tour of their old stomping grounds where family, friends and local residents applauded them for their accomplishments. The tradition began last year after the COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on many of the usual end-ofschool celebrations. This year’s crowd was a little smaller than last year’s, but no less enthusiastic as they wished the Dragons well. The class will gather together one last time on June 13 for commencement at the brand new football stadium before embarking on the next chapters in their life stories.
