HOLLY — It’s that time of year once again for Holly Area Youth Assistance’s Toy Project.
The 30th annual Jacobson-Quinn Toy Project, sponsored by Holly Area Youth Assistance (HAYA), is accepting new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations. The program was established in 1982 to provide low-income families with toys at Christmas.
This year, HAYA anticipates giving presents to 350-400 children (ages 0-18) living within the Holly Area School District. In past years, each child typically received two toys or gifts and stocking stuffing items.
Organizers are especially in need of books, board games, dolls, puzzles, action figures, sports equipment (like soccer balls, footballs and basketballs) and small stocking stuffer items.
HAYA is also seeking volunteers to help wrap and deliver the gifts. Gift-wrapping will take place at the VFW Post #5587, located at 201 Airport Drive in Holly on Dec 20-21. Delivery of the gifts will take place Dec. 22.
If you are interested in helping this organization with their worthy cause, please contact Holly Area Youth Assistance at 248-328-3181.
New, unwrapped gifts and/or cash donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
