GRAND BLANC — Third-graders from Holy Family Catholic School spread Christmas cheer to Abbey Park senior community by decorating a tree for the facility’s residents.

The third graders, who visit Abbey Park each month to join residents in the celebration of the Mass, made the ornaments at school and then took an afterschool field trip to trim the tree. It was the first tree-trimming for the students, but Abbey Park administrators and Holy Family teachers Cherie King and Jean Herron plan to make it an annual tradition.

Since 1956, Holy Family Catholic School has offered an exceptional Catholic education for students in preschool through eighth grade.— G.G.
