Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present Colt Ford with special guests Gunnar and The Grizzly Boys and Pole Barn Rebels, Jan. 18. Tickets are $22 in advance. All tickets originally purchased for the Nov. 14 concert will be honored for the make-up date.

Whitey Morgan, with special guests Bullhonkey Deluxe, 5th On The Floor and Pole Barn Rebels will perform Jan. 19. Tickets are $10 in advance.

Indie-Grace Promotions presents Damagefest featuring Judgment, Dozic, Six Seconds to Oblivion, After the Minor, Execrate and From Blue to Gray on Jan. 25. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 the day of the show.

Live entertainment at Louie’s Sports Tavern

LAPEER — Louie’s Sports Tavern, 3301 Davison Rd., will feature Team Trivia which begins every Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Prizes for winners each night 1st-3rd place.

Louie’s Sports Tavern will feature Myk Rise starting at 9:30 p.m., tonight (Jan. 17).

On Jan. 18 Mike Struwin will perform at 9:30 p.m. and there will be live music on Jan. 19, the performer( s) still to be announced.

Holiday Trains opened at the Sloan Museum

FLINT — Get in the holiday spirit at Sloan Museum with its newest exhibit Holiday Trains. Intended for train enthusiasts of all ages, this HO Scale model railroad showcases model trains and features realistic diesel sounds.

Visitors will be taken back to the days when the Iron Horse sped across Michigan. Marvel at charming model trains as they travel across rustic bridges, along overhead trestles, and even past a zoo. Search over the three tracks for the White Christmas Express.

Holiday Trains is open to the public through Jan. 27. Sloan Museum is located at 1221 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, Michigan, 48503 Tickets are $9 adults, $8 Seniors, and $6 youth ages 3-11. — G.G.
