Concerts at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present a very special, rare acoustic performance by Saving Abel, with special guests the Art of Dying and Black Light District, on May 3. Tickets are $20 in advance.

Total Mayhem presents Kaleido, Ghosts of August, Givensix and Fall Prey, May 4. This is a low dough concert.

For the first time in Flint, Device, with special guests Nonpoint and Gemini Syndrome, May 8. Tickets are $30 in advance. Also for the first time in Flint, Opeth: The North American Heritage Tour 2013, with special guests Katatonia, May 10. Tickets are $30 in advance.

Live entertainment at Louie’s

LAPEER — Louie’s Sports Tavern, 3301 Davison Rd., will feature Team Trivia Begins every Wednesday 7- 9 p.m. Prizes for winners each night 1st-3rd place.

Louie’s Sports Tavern will feature Jaime Marvin, tonight (May 2) starting at 9:30 p.m.

John D. Lamb will perform May 3 at Louie’s at 9:30 p.m.

Teddy Richards will perform May 4 at 9:30 p.m.

Hand bell choir to perform

GRAND BLANC — The Capital City Ringers, will be in concert at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Rd., Grand Blanc, May 5 at 4 p.m. The program is titled, “Records in Motion” (All the Ways We Move). A variety of music selections include music from The Lion King, as well as classic pieces performed on handbells. All are welcome. — G.G.

Faerie Festival celebration

FENTON —Heavenly Scent’s 23rd Annual Faerie Festival Spring celebration will be held May 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and May 5, 11 a.m. -5 p.m. at Heavenly Scent Herb Farm, 13730 White Lake Rd., 810-629-9208. This event will be held rain or shine. Admission is $1.

The two-day event includes free activities: Storytelling on Saturday at 11:30 and Sunday at 1, Morris Dancers from Ann Arbor performing Saturday only at 12:30, 1:45, and 4, Faerie Parade/May Pole Celebration both days at 12, 2:15 and 4:30. Special faerie food will be for sale.
