Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present Anathema Alcest with special guests Mamiffer, Sept. 19. Tickets are $12 in advance.

Saxon’s “Sacrifice and Sin Tour” with special guests Fozzy and Halcyon’s Way, will be at The Machine Shop on Sept. 20. Tickets are $25 in advance.

Cash O’Riley and the Downtown Daddies, with special guests Bullhonkey Deluxe and the Pole Barn Rebels, will take the stage Sept. 21. This is a low dough show.

Live entertainment at Louie’s Sports Tavern

LAPEER — Louie’s Sports Tavern, 3301 Davison Rd., will feature Team Trivia Begins every Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Prizes for winners each night 1st-3rd place.

Louie’s Sports Tavern will feature the Chiefs vs Eagles football game at 8 p.m. on Sept. 19. Entertainment for Sept. 20 will be The Pat Zelenka Project at 9:30 p.m. but has not been decided.

The View Brew Fest will be Sept. 21 at Louie’s Sports Tavern. This will benefit the Lapeer County Hockey Association from 2-11 p.m. Visit for more information.

Woodside Church to resume Jazz Vespers on Sept. 20

FLINT — The Woodside Church, 1509 East Court St., to resume Jazz Vespers on Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. The Jazz Vespers is its alternative worship service, which features local musicians from Flint and the surrounding area.

First up, Sweet Willie Tea (Bill Toll), who will be presented in a coffee house setting, the service offers a mix of outstanding music and readings focused on a special theme

Each event will be held the third Friday of every month, beginning at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served
