Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, has announced the rescheduling of the Apocalyptica concert, which was supposed to take place Nov. 30, to March 8. Tickets for the Nov. 30 concert will be good for the March 8 event. This is the band’s first time in Flint. Tickets are $18 in advance. Doors at 7 p.m. On Dec. 2 is the 10 Years with American Fangs and Westfall starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance. On Dec. 3 Bobaflex will perform with TensionHead. This is a low dough concert. Country-western fun at Wild Spurs

GRAND BLANC — Wild Spurs, part of The Jewel Entertainment Complex, at 5270 Perry Rd., features live bands Friday and Saturday nights. Friday nights are country music and Saturday’s are rock and roll. Holiday trains coming

FLINT — The Lapeer Model Railroad Club is getting in the Holiday spirit at Sloan Museum. Intended for train enthusiasts of all ages, this HO Scale model railroad showcases model trains and displays featuring realistic diesel sounds. Visitors will be taken back to the days when the Iron Horse sped across Michigan.

This exhibit is included with regular Museum admission. Sloan Museum is open Monday -Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 12-5 p.m. Parking is free. Admission is $6 for adults, seniors are $5 and youth 3- 11 are $4. Annual Pass Holder Club members are free. — G.G.

Old-Fashioned Christmas planned

GRAND BLANC — The Grand Blanc Heritage Association announces its annual Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration Dec. 6. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with a half hour of music on the Museum’s vintage player piano. The program will begin at 7 p.m., with music and inspirational messages of the season. Refreshments will follow the program in the lower level. Admission is by an item of nonperishable food, paper goods, or monetary donation to FISH, the local food pantry.
