Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop
FLINT —The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint will feature Trapt, with special guests Sons of Texas, Guns at Sundown and Poynte, July 23. Tickets are $15 in advance.
Givensix, Bro-Bot, Mercy Beach and The Distorted Waltz will perform July 24. Tickets are $10 in advance.
Toolology will take the stage July 31, playing two sets – one as Toology and the other a tribute to Rage Against The Machine. Special guests are Paresthesia and Sixx Feet of Grace. Tickets are $10 in advance.

I Chews the Blues fest coming Aug. 1
RICHFIELD TWP. – The 10th Annual I Chews the Blues festival is returning Aug. 1 with the proceeds of the day long concert going to help support Outreach East.
Organizer Marguerite King-Goodall said the event will be held again this year at Mojoe’s Winghouse, 4300 N. State Rd., and while there are a few returning acts from previous years, much of the line-up this year is new to the festival.
The bands performing as part of the Blues festival are:
Baker Street at 1 p.m.; Davison Alumni Blues Band at 2:15 p.m.; Bea B. Blues Band at 3:30 p.m.; Silverboots at 4:45 p.m.; Kathleen Murray Band at 6 p.m.; Dirty Basement Blues Band at 7:15 p.m.; Joey Farner & the Tribe at 8:30 p.m.; Eddie Barney & Blueshouse, time to be announced
Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Lawnchairs are welcome, but no coolers. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event.
