Concerts at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present Bobaflex coheadlining with Royal Bliss on March 18. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $8 at the door.

Cash O’Riley and The Downright Daddies will perform a rockabilly show with Burlesque by Miss Pussykatt on March 19. Doors open at 7 p.m. This is a low dough concert. Dance party scheduled

GRAND BLANC — Dance each Tuesday evening at the Jewel of Grand Blanc, 5270 Perry Rd. There is a dance party from 7-10 p.m. They play Swing, Latin and Ballroom. Food and drinks are available before and during the dances. The cover charge is $3 per person. — G.G.

CD release party

DAVISON — At 7 p.m. March 26 Kelsey Rottiers and Derek Turcsanyi will release their first full-length album — Kelsey Rottiers and The Rising Tide — at Hahn Intermediate School, 500 S. Dayton St., in Davison and the public is invited. The show is free but donations will be accepted to help the duo pay for the expense of the new CD — which will also be sold at the event for $15. — G.G.

Volunteer opportunities

GENESEE COUNTY — Genesee County Parks is looking for large and small groups of people who are used to working together. Whether it’s volunteering at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad during Day Out With Thomas, creating gift bags for an upcoming event at the Parks Administration Office or working on the flowerbeds at For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities at Genesee County Parks.

If your company or organization has a volunteer hour requirement, there is no other place as fun as the Genesee County Parks to log your hours. Volunteers truly are the heart of Genesee County Parks.
