Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present Psychostick on April 29, with Critical Bill and Silent Divide. This is a low dough concert. Doors open at 7 p.m. Colt Ford returns April 30 with Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys. Tickets are $20 in advance. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Exposed Music Festival hosted by Ms. JennCity, will come to the Machine Shop May 6. Genesee Wind Symphony to perform on May 1

FLINT — The Genesee Wind Symphony, Bruce Nieuwenhuis conductor, presents “Sundaes on Sunday” on May 1 at 3 p.m. at Woodside Church 1509 E. Court St.

The concert will consist of Broadway Musical selections from Les Miserables, South Pacific, Mary Poppins and several other shows. This is a free concert. Donations are welcomed. Join the symphony for a wonderful afternoon of music followed by a free ice cream social in the Fellowship Hall after the concert. — G.G.

Laser Rock Shows at Longway Planetarium in April

FLINT — Laser Rock Shows at Longway Planetarium will amaze your senses on Fridays and Saturdays throughout April. Each show combines hit music with choreographed multicolor laser imagery for a sensory experience unlike any other. These shows have been enjoyed by audiences worldwide. Sweet Adelines seeking singers

DAVISON TWP. — Song of the Lakes Sweet Adelines Chorus of Davison is seeking female singers for membership openings. Women of all ages who love to sing, perform and are interested in improving their vocal skills are invited. Come and receive free vocal lessons.
