Concerts coming up at The Machine Shop

FLINT — The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, will present Nonpoint, Sept. 7, with Bobaflex, Ionia and Prospect Hill. Tickets are $15 in advance.

Rumbleville and the Detroit Psychobilly Alliance will present The Devil Elvis Show, with special guests The Real Bitters, Cheerleader and the Graveyard Whores, Sept. 8. Tickets are $5.

Uncle Kracker will perform Sept. 13. Tickets are $25 in advance.

Live entertainment at Louie’s Sports Tavern

LAPEER — Louie’s Sports Tavern, 3301 Davison Rd., will feature Jamie Marvin, a local classic rock, rock and pop singer, Sept. 6, starting at 9:30 p.m.

The Genesee Ramblers will perform Sept. 7 with a mix of blue, rock and rockabilly starting at 9:30 p.m.

On Sept. 8, The Steve Stokes Band — a twopiece band performing in mid-Michigan since 1991 — will perform at Louie’s. Their music is rooted in country and classic rock. They will perform starting at 9:30 p.m.

Whaley House open for tours

Muscle Cars on display at the Sloan Museum

FLINT — Muscle Cars are on display at the Sloan Museum, 1221 E. Kearsley St., through Sept. 16. From a 1957 Chrysler 300 to a 1987 BuickGNX, this exhibit is sure to appeal to visitors of all ages.

Since they stormed on the scene in the mid-sixties, these high-powered behemoths changed the face of the automotive industry forever. Learn the stories that shaped each one of these American icons.
