FLINT – Hurley Children’s Hospital and Kohl’s will partner together for Kohl’s Healthy Kids Day from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 4, at the Flint Children’s Museum, 1602 W. University Ave. Kids can try fit boxing, make healthy graham cracker snacks, and enjoy free admission to the museum, which has more than 40 exhibits with hands-on experiences for children from ages 2 to 10.
Kohl’s has committed $250,000 over two years to its partnership with Hurley Children’s Hospital to support the Kohl’s Healthy Kids program. The goal is to teach children and their parents to make healthy food choices and increase their physical activity. This will be accomplished through community events/workshops, assemblies at elementary schools, pediatric nutrition counseling, and healthy tips messaging on radio stations.

Kohl’s commitment to Hurley is made possible through Kohl’s philanthropic program, Kohl’s Cares®, which sells children’s books and toys and donates 100 percent of the net profit to charitable organizations nationwide, including hospital partnerships like this one.
