RICHFIELD TWP. — The I Chews the Blues festival is back for its 15th annual show this weekend, Aug. 7.
The Blues festival will be held at Mojoe’s Winghouse, 4300 N. State Rd., from 1-10 p.m. and will feature some of the best Blues from right here in Genesee County and as far away as the metro Detroit area.
All proceeds from the festival will go toward the Marc Adams Scholarship fund.
The line-up for this year’s festival will include:
1 p.m. – Self Inflicted Blues
2:15 p.m. – The Knucklehead Blues Band
3:30 p.m. – Prof. Joe Wright & Friends
4:45 p.m. – Mojo Hand
6 p.m. – Tosha Owens & The Stable Dudes
7:15 p.m. – Vinyl Tap Blues
8:30 p.m. – Motor City Josh & The Big 3
Tosha Owens & The Stable Dudes was
a late entry into the I Chews the Blues lineup for this year, replacing Crosstown Mojo, who had to bow out.
Owens is an award-winning singer/ songwriter born and raised in Detroit.
“From her trademark fedora hat to her marvelous mix of Blues, Rock, Funkand R&B…Owens has the word performer written all over her,” a band description on the group’s Facebook page said. “While most singers struggle to create a unique brand identity for themselves, there’s no doubting what Tosha is all about and why audiences are always asking for more.”
