Old Newsboys to hold St. Patrick’s Day Bowling event

GENESEE COUNTY —Help provide Christmas gifts to needy children with the roll of a bowling ball! The Old Newsboys of Flint will host the 7th Annual Bowling Fun-raiser & Silent Auction Friday, March 16. The fun begins at 6 p.m. with registration / check in and the bowling begins at 6:30- 8:30 p.m.

The cost is $25 per bowler and includes two games with shoe rental, and a pizza and pitcher of pop for each team. Join us at B’s Bowling Center, 750 S Center Rd, Flint. Details: Call 810-744-1840.

Since 1924, the Old Newsboys have put gifts under the tree for over 812,000 children across Genesee County. Each box provides a sweat suit, socks and underwear, gloves, a warm winter hat, dental hygiene products, and an age appropriate gift. The program is funded through the annual paper sale, donations, and fundraisers like this. – G.G.

Church hosting euchre tournament

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee District Library Genesee Valley Center branch (Sears Wing) will host a LOL Emoji Challenge at 4:30 p.m. March 15. Celebrate your favorite emojis, solve emoji puzzles to unlock the Breakout Box, make emoji crafts and play emoji games. For ages 7 and up. The Headquarters Library, 4195 Pasadena Ave, will hold an Open Lab Computer Class from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 Headquarters librarian Liz Kish will offer one-on-one help with computers and answer questions in the computer lab during these set times. Church hosting Southern Gospel concert
