WFBA presents annual scholarships

FLINT TWP. — Three education scholarship winners will be presented at the WFBA luncheon meeting from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 in the meeting room of the Golden Corral restaurant, 4200 Miller Road. Carman-Ainsworth Superintendent Eddie Kindle will be the guest speaker. He will present information on the University of Michigan-Flint Dual Enrollment opportunities for C-AHS students through the C-A STEM Early College and Dual Enrollment Educational Partnerships (DEEP) Programs in Medical Sciences and Pre-Law. 3rd annual “Ivy League Colleges” Pipeline Discussion

FLINT TWP. — All Genesee County high achieving students in the 6th-11thgrade are invited to attend the 3rd annual Ivy League Colleges Pipeline Discussion from 6- 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 in the Carman-Ainsworth High School auditorium, 1300 N. Linden Road. The discussion is presented by C-A graduates and current college students Rani Richardson, Randi Richardson, Jelani Taylor and Jalen Ware. They will share their personal experiences, wisdom and perspectives and other critical information on how best to prepare for, gain admission and navigate financial aid at an Ivy League College, which can cost less than attending a public//private fouryear in-state college.
