Free ‘Writing a Business Plan’ Workshop in Flint

FLINT – A free “Writing a Business Plan” Workshop will be held at Oak Business Center, 2712 Saginaw St, from 1– 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 1. Presented by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) and hosted by Oak Business Center; this workshop covers the specifics of business planning including market research, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and management. Tools, steps, and a workbook for creating a business plan draft are included. The pre-requisite to this workshop is attending the “Starting a Business” workshop which is a preparation path to be ready for “Writing a Business Plan”. These and other “Venture Start” workshops are offered at multiple locations and dates around the region and the state at www.sbdcmichigan.org/training

There is no fee for this workshop or any of the “Venture Start” workshops offered by MI-SBDC I-69 Trade Corridor regional office. Get pampered for Pink

LINDEN/FRANKENMUTH — Serendipity Wellness Spas in Linden and Frankenmuth is donating its services to raise money for Breast Cancer Survivors. For this fun Pop-up Mini Fundraiser, spa staff at both locations will donate 100 percent of their proceeds for all services from 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. on Aug. 2. Walk in or make an appointment.

Other activities will include *Raffle Tickets to win products and services; Pink-tinis; Full and Mini manicures, pedicures and massages; Kid Stations with pink lemonade, face painting, games, baked goods and prizes .

Serendipity is located at 129 E. Broad Street in downtown Linden and at 925 S. Main in Frankenmuth River Place Shops.

This is a pampering pre-event for Pink Night Palooza which is one of the most dynamic breast cancer awareness fundraisers around. The annual event supports Hurley’s Breast Navigator Program which helps alleviate both financial and emotional burdens associated with recovery. All proceeds stay local, helping mothers, daughters, sisters, coworkers and neighbors. The 2018 Pink Night Palooza will be held at 5 pm on October 4 at Holiday Inn Gateway Center. — R.S.
