Paving operations on Stanley Road in Flushing Township

FLUSHING — The Genesee County Road Commission will perform paving operations on Stanley Road between Duffield Road and the west side of the railroad tracks in Flushing Township on Aug. 14 and 15, weather permitting. Blood drive at Raider Rally

FLUSHING — As part of Raider Rally 2018 on Aug. 21, Michigan Blood will be conducting a Blood Drive at Raider Field behind Central Elementary. Family Movie in the Park

Transportation for seniors

SWARTZ CREEK — Transportation services are available to senior citizens in the Swartz Creek school district. Contact the senior center at 810- 635-4122 for a complete schedule, transportation policy and participant requirements and deadlines.

Services include round-trip transportation to the center for lunch Monday through Friday, weekly shopping trips and monthly trips to the Swartz Creek Community Food Basket. For shopping, the bus goes to Kroger one week, Meijer the next. — L.R.

Free loaner chairs, notary service

CLAYTON TOWNSHIP — As a free service to its residents, Clayton Township will loan out its folding chairs. The township has about 30 metal chairs available. Interested residents may contact the township offices at 810-635-4433 or complete the chair registration/checkout form on the website, www.claytontownship.org.

The township also offers free notary service to township residents with proof of residency. Limit five documents per visit. The notary is available during regular township office hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday. — L.R.
