7th Annual Touch-A-Truck 2018

FLINT — Grand Blanc Township Police Department host a fun, kid-friendy event Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University of Michigan parking lot at 5th Avenue at Saginaw Street, across from Rallys. In partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint Department of Public Safety, this free family event features face painting, bounce houses, hot dogs and much more. In the spirit of building positive police and community relations, it is a chance to check out some cool equipment (did we mention there are going to be trucks?)! Truth, Racial Healing, & Transformation

FLINT — The Community Foundation of Greater Flint and Flint Institute of Arts will host this event Oct. 9 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Flint Institute of Arts, 1120 E. Kearsley Street. This conversational seminar will focus on gleaning valuable insights, information, and perceptions about the community to help move the community forward. We’d like to hear from Flint residents and community members like you about problems plaguing the community, what progress may already be underway, and identify potential allies who can engage in the process. Residents will gather along with a W.K. Kellogg consultant and participate in a guided community visioning session which will include small group discussions. Pink Night Palooza

FLINT — Pink Night Palooza, will be held Oct. 4 from 5 – 11 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 5353 Gateway Centre. This tenth anniversary event is the Ultimate Bedazzling Night Out, and one of the most dynamic breast cancer fundraisers around. Funds raised stay local, which means you can have a great time while showcasing your company’s commitment to supporting the community. Funds benefit patients in Hurley’s Breast Cancer Navigator Program, helping to alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens of recovery. This event features a tantalizing assortment of appetizers and desserts, drink specials, the iconic Bra-rtistry Fashion Show, a live and silent auction, games and more fun surprises!
