Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Flint 5K walk

FLINT — Making Strides Flint hosts a 5K walk Oct. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Downtown Flat Lot, 200 E. Kearsley Street. This is a leisure 5k American Cancer Society Fundraising Walk, celebrating the 20th year in Flint! Registration begins at 8:30 am. Program, music and fun from 9-10 am. Walk leaves at 10 am. 2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series

FLINT — The Mott Community College (MCC) Lifelong Learning office announces the 2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series. The next program in the line-up is: Jarret Haynes will present on the restoration of the Capital Theatre on Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. Haynes, Executive Director of the Whiting, will share what went into the complete restoration of this Flint gem. This series especially designed for senior citizens, but is open to everyone runs through May.
