Absentee ballot available at township hall
FLINT TWP. — Absentee ballots are available at the Flint Township offices, 1490 S. Dye Rd. Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot can do so by either stopping in or calling the township clerk’s office at 810-732-1350. Nov. 5 is the last day last to return absentee ballots, until 4 p.m. that day. — G.G.

Census scammers already at work
FLINT TWP. — Township officials said Oct. 15 that even with the 2020 U.S. Census still two years away, residents are reporting they are already receiving scam phone calls related to the Census. Scammers are trying to get personal information and seem to be targeting seniors, official said. A reminder to all residents that the Census never asks for your Social Security number, or for money, access to a bank account or your mother’s maiden name. — G.G.
