2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series

FLINT — The Mott Community College (MCC) Lifelong Learning office announces the 2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series. The next program in the line-up is: Jarret Haynes will present on the restoration of the Capital Theatre on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. Haynes, Executive Director of the Whiting, will share what went into the complete restoration of this Flint gem. This series especially designed for senior citizens, but is open to everyone runs through May. Free concert tonight

FLINT — WKAR sponsors a free concert at the Flint School of Performing Arts, Oct. 19 from 7–8 p.m. at 1025 E. Kearsley Street. Join us for this free concert featuring a delightful evening filled with amazing live music from our esteemed FSPA faculty members, Jessica Cech, flute, Brandon Cota, cello and Brendan Jacklin, piano as they perform “A New Era of Chamber Music”. A treat you won’t want to miss. All concerts are FREE and open to the public and are held on Friday evenings at 7pm at the Flint Institute of Music’s MacArthur Recital Hall. Guns N’ Hoses Dodgeball

GRAND BLANC — A benefit for and hosted by the Weiss Child Advocacy Center will be held Oct. 25 from 6-10 p.m. at Grand Blanc High School, 12500 Holly Road. Halloween Open House

FLINT — Weiss Child Advocacy Center hosts an Open House Oct.30 from 3–6 p.m. at their offices, 515 S. East Street. Celebrate Halloween with family friendly activities and light refreshments as we welcome our newest Child & Family Therapist, Paula Archambault.
