2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series

FLINT — The Mott Community College (MCC) Lifelong Learning office announces the 2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series. The next program in the line-up is: Dr. Chris Flores & Kenneth Charles Briggs will present on the “Opioid Crisis,” Friday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. Dr. Chris Flores is the former Vice President of Health Integration for Sacred Heart Rehabilitation and is a current board member of the greater Flint Health Coalition. This life story of Kenneth Briggs highlights the difficulties of being born into a home filled with drug and alcohol activity. This series especially designed for senior citizens, but is open to everyone runs through May. FLINT — Bauman’s Running and Walking Shop hosts a New Year’s Resolution 8K Run & 5K Run/Walk, December 31, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Flint YMCA, 411 E. 3rd Street. Course is 100% paved, along residential streets in Pierce Park and East Village area. The course is accurately measured although not certified. Individual miles will be marked if weather permits.
